Penn's Place: Then & Now

Since Kerry Elizabeth and our fellow artists are becoming permeant residents of Penn's Place, we thought it was important to step back in time.

Cloud's Row, 117-125 Delaware Street in New Castle. (1936)
The former William Penn Guest House in Historic New Castle is circa 1682 and full of charm and history. The house previously operated as a bed and breakfast where William Penn has reportedly stayed.

Now, with a fresh coat of paint and many long nights from the ambitious new owners, the house has been turned into Penn's Place, a retail space for artists to showcase and sell their work.

Penn's Place 206 Delaware St (2010)
Penn's Place is fully restored and breathtaking to walk through. The walls aren't straight and the floors aren't even, but that's simply part of the "New Castle charm." You can only imagine what stories would be told if the walls could talk.
