Blueberries, Blueberries, Blueberries

I traveled South last weekend to Chincoteaque Island's Blueberry Festival. The island is small and quaint with only one bridge to take you on and off the island. Chincoteaque Island is most know for its wild ponies (Thankfully, I missed the chaos of Pony Week where thousands of people come to see the ponies swim across the river and to be auctioned off).

Needless to say, the Blueberry Festival offered blueberries  in just about every dish.

Blueberry Pie
Blueberry Ice cream
Blueberry Ice Tea
Blueberry Jam
Blueberry Pancakes

If you can put blueberries in it, you would find it there. Dispite the heat, the festival brought together a great group of artists. It was inspiring to speak to so many talented people. It is weekends like the last that I really appreciate what I am doing. Traveling, meeting wonderful artists, and selling what I love... I wouldn't even think to trade it for a 9-5 job!
